TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Thank you for choosing AIMMS School of Rock for your music tuition needs.

We are a privately owned and proudly South Australian business that specialises in one-on-one music tuition at a world class standard.

All of our teachers are professional musicians who make a living out of the music industry from teaching, performing, recording etc.

To ensure that the standard of teaching remains at a high level we need to ensure that the teachers have a stable income that they can rely on.

This is why we have certain terms and conditions that you need to be aware of to help protect the teacher’s incomes and ensure that we are able to retain the best teachers available.

CANCELLATION POLICY

• 7 DAYS NOTICE MUST BE GIVEN IF YOU WISH TO CANCEL YOUR LESSON.
• IF LESS THAN 7 DAYS BUT MORE THAN 24HRS IS GIVEN YOU WILL STILL PAY FOR YOUR LESSON BUT RECEIVE A MAKE UP LESSON.

If seven (7) days notice is not given then you will be charged for that lesson. However, if more than 24hrs notice is given you may be eligible to have a make up lesson (at the teacher’s convenience). If less than 24hrs notice is given you will not have the opportunity to have a make up lesson.

Important notes about make up lessons:

• Where students already have a make up lesson owing, they are not entitled to another one until the previous lesson has been had or it expires.
• Make up lessons must be used within one month from the date of absence, if not taken the lesson is forfeited.
• Students are allowed one make up lesson only per school term i.e. ten weeks

YOU MUST PAY FOR ANY CANCELLED LESSON THE NEXT TIME YOU ATTEND THE SCHOOL. If you do not pay for the cancelled lesson you will not be able to continue your tuition until you do.

YOU MUST TELL US IF YOU DECIDE TO DISCONTINUE LESSONS OR YOU COULD BE CHARGED FOR UP TO 2 LESSONS. If you miss 2 lessons in a row and don’t inform us, or don’t have alternative arrangements with us, we reserve the right to give your lesson time to someone else and to charge you for the 2 lessons that we could have booked someone else in for.

DEPOSIT (BOND) SYSTEM

In order to protect the running of this school we have adopted a policy whereby each student is required to pay a bond equal to 2 weeks of tuition in advance. If you cancel your lesson we deduct the cost of the lesson from this bond to pay the teacher. On the following week when you attend your lesson you must pay for your cancelled lesson as well as your current tuition. When you wish to cancel your tuition permanently you must give two (2) weeks notice whereby your bond will cover the last two lessons (refer to cancellation policy for further details). This deposit is to be used as lessons only, i.e. non-refundable.

10 WEEKS IN ADVANCE

If you pay for 10 weeks in advance you will receive 5% discount on your lessons. 2 weeks notice must be given if you intend to discontinue your tuition permanently. OR at your 8th lesson you may use the remaining two for your bond and continue

Our teachers are in great demand and have students waiting for available times so we cannot guarantee to hold lesson times for fortnightly students. If we have a student who wishes to book lessons on a weekly basis then they will be given priority over fortnightly students, however, fortnightly students will be given the opportunity to change to weekly lessons first.

TEACHER AWAY

If your teacher is away for any reason the school reserves the right to call in another teacher to teach you for that lesson. You will be notified as soon as possible if your teacher is unwell or unable to teach.
